The road closure signs have gone.

The County Council in their inevitable way, continues

to fail by keeping the local and business community

completely in the dark.

It would appear that the A592 is clear???? Once again I really am very sorry that I have constantly to apologise for the incompetence of a Cumbria County Council Highways Officer.

We are very sorry if you have visited and were inconvenienced yet again by road closure which was somewhat forced upon us by an uncaring thoughtless level of government. Cumbria County Council highways decided 'without appropriate consultation' Simply to shut the A592 for a further three months without a care in the world for the impact on local, visiting and business communities. In the past 14 months the A592 has been closed off for 6 months+. Have you tried speaking to arrogant Local government employees? I have and was insulted for my troubles!!! Little wonder the ballot boxes are likely to be under used in this election year. So much for accountable local government. Normality is promised but not expected after another 12 weeks of chaos and incompetence.
