To Bruise The Heart Of A Child. This age is recording Some
Terrifying things, Witnessed
by our youth as, The
world fights fierce and wild. Who
knows the effect As
it's thrown upon the screen, But
it bruises the heart of a child, be
sure, How
it bruises the heart of a child. Conflict after conflict In
the never ending whirl, If
it's not on the telly, then The
news print will tell, Of
the power games, The
vengeance, That
will blow us all to hell, How
it bruises the heart of a child.
Now you can wonder at it How
the violence, once `small', Through
conditioning of tiny minds, As
year on year we crawl towards The
day when it comes easy, To
see a loved one fall, Continue, Bruising
the heart of a child! Can they be `protected' As
through years, they blindly run? Are
what we place before them In
the street fight and the gun, Visions
they rely upon, Or
has crime and violence won? And
will it bruise the heart of a child.
`YOUR CHILD'? Will
it bruise the heart of your child?
