PERHAPS AN
EPITAPH TO MAN As thinking, I did walk one day, And
chanced to see a child at play. Considered
I, ..... what might have been? Thought!
..... Life is real and not a dream. For as your born, So shall you go, It
does you well while young to know, That
all the things the old ones say, As
time goes by, come true some day. How many say, if only then, Had
common-sense been mine and when, Those
words of wisdom all were told, All
now experienced, now I'm old. If these reflections mean a thing, Let
them to, a youngster bring, Enlightenment,
each time that's heard, The
